09:00 – Meet guide & start trekking
Meet your local guide at your hotel in Sapa. Walk briefly on the road, then turn onto a smaller trail descending into the valley.
Y Linh Ho Village (Muong Hoa River)
Arrive at Y Linh Ho, nestled beside the Muong Hoa River—great early views for photos and a calm start before the deeper valley walk.
Lao Chai Village – Black Hmong community
Continue to Lao Chai, home to the Black Hmong. Your guide shares insights into their heritage, language, traditional indigo clothing, and village lifestyle shaped by mountain farming.
Ta Van Village (approx. 1,200m) – Giay (Zay) people
Walk onward to Ta Van to meet the Giay (Zay). Explore local houses built with wood and bamboo, and learn how traditions adapt as life modernizes in the valley.
Seasonal note (May–Oct)
If you travel between May and October, you may witness local farming rhythms—planting and harvesting on Muong Hoa’s terraced fields.
Return to Sapa
After Ta Van, your car will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Sapa.
